Hi, Theresa here. If you’re looking for a Scabies Home Remedy that can treat scabies without the dangerous side effects of conventional scabies drugs, then this site is for you.

I urge you to read the story below so that you can decide for yourself whether you want to treat your scabies with prescription drugs or with a natural scabies remedy.

My son Daniel and his bout of scabies….

About 4 months ago, my 14 year old son Daniel came to me one evening complaining of itchy skin on one of his hands. I took a look and noticed that his hand and wrist had several small red spots (much like the ones in the picture below). By the next morning, the spots had become crusty and infected looking. I was alarmed and immediately started googling his symptoms for a possible diagnosis. Within minutes, I came to the conclusion that he was suffering from….SCABIES!!

Typical Scabies Infestation

Not being a doctor (obviously), I took Daniel to his pediatrician who confirmed my amateur diagnosis and prescribed a cream containing the drug called Permethrin, which he explained was a strong insecticide used to treat parasites like scabies.

I’m not ”anti-drug” by any stretch and I don’t normally question the opinions of medical professionals. However, the thought of putting an insecticide on my son’s skin and exposing him and the rest of our family (and pets) to its effects caused me some concern so I went home and did a little research.

The shocking truth about Permethrin and Other Scabies Drugs….

What I discovered about Permethrin (and all other scabies drugs for that matter) is that, being man-made insecticides, they have a number of dangerous side effects and, in fact, are considered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be hazardous substances. The active ingredients in these drugs have proven in lab tests to have high levels of toxicity (working as neurotoxins to kill insects.)

In one South American country where Permethrin was used to control insects, later studies revealed the drug to be present in the breast milk of nursing mothers. Other studies have shown these drugs to be poisonous in cats and fish and to cause cancer and genetic abnormalities in laboratory rats.

Usually, Permethrin or a similar insecticide is added to a lotion and the scabies sufferer applies the lotion to the infected area for a week or more, leaving the lotion on for several hours, thereby exposing themselves to the toxic effects of the insecticide for an extended period of time.

After doing my research, I decided that I was NOT going to expose my family to a dangerous drug if I could find an effective scabies home remedy. At first, I found some internet forums and discussions about natural scabies remedies, but most of them were just personal opinions and none had comprehensive or definitive information.

Eventually though, I came across a report by Joe Barton called the 24 Hour Scabies Natural Remedy Report.

Although the report wasn’t free (about $39, I think), I was so concerned about the health risks of Premethrin to our family that I decided it was worth trying. Plus, I figured that if I could find a scabies home remedy that actually worked, I’d be saving money in the long run since the cost of a scabies drug treatment would be more than the cost of the guide.

The 24 Hour Scabies Natural Remedy Report Cured My Son’s Scabies….

So I downloaded the guide and tried a combination of the treatments that Mr. Barton recommended and within 24 hours, Daniel’s scabies infection had healed. (The bumps were barely noticeable and were no longer infected looking.) By the day after that, you could barely see the bumps at all and by the third day, you would never know that Daniel had ever had scabies.

=> Learn More About The Report Here <=

It’s now been about 4 months since we used Joe Barton’s guide to cure my son’s scabies and they have never returned. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I would absolutely recommend the guide to anyone who is concerned about the dangerous effects of prescription scabies medicine and looking for a scabies home remedy that won’t put their family’s health at risk.

I really hope that you found the information here helpful. If you have any questions or would like to share your experiences on my site, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or leave a comment.

P.S. If anyone else out there has discovered their own scabies home remedy, please let me know so I can share it with others!

See pictures of scabies here ==> scabies pictures.

The symptoms of scabies are very well known. The first symptom of a scabies problem is the onset of itchiness. The itch is usually mild to start with but increases with time and is often worse at night time than during the day. The itch can also be aggravated by bathing. After the intial itching, a skin irritation/rash appears consisting of small red bumps and blisters that can resemble small insect bites, bumps, pimples or blistered sores.

The parts of the body affected by scabies is extensive although the typical areas of infection can differ depending upon the age of the person. For example, the target areas for children usually include the scalp, face, neck, soles of the feet, and the palm of the hands. On the other hand, adults are more like to be affected in the following areas: hands, the webs between the fingers, the wrists and the backs of elbows, around the waist area, knees, around the nipples, in the genital area on the buttocks and the sides and backs of feet. The bumps caused by scabies often (but not always) contain crusted blood. Often the itching leads to sleepless nights and is sometimes mistaken by sufferers to be a problem with dry skin.

What Does Scabies Look Like?

What does scabies look like in infants and young children?

In infants and young children, a scabies rash often appears on the neck, face, head, palms and soles of feet. Scabies rashes do not usually appear in these places in adults and older kids.

Often, medical literature and textbooks will mention “burrows” or “tunnels” caused by scabies. These burrows appear as thin, gray, red or brown lines, usually ranging from about 2 - 15 millimetres long. However, they are usually very difficult to see and scratching of the infected area (which is very itchy) destroys the burrows so that they are no longer visible to the human eye. Sometimes a very small black speck may be visible at the front edge of the track. This is the scabies mite.

Scratching of the infected area can cause the skin to break open leading to further crusting of the skin.

Scabies Treatment

Hopefully the above information helps to answer your question – what does scabies look like? If you are looking for a cure for scabies without the need for harsh and dangerous medications (which contain pesticides), please read my scabies home remedy article for important information!
